The Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition is best known for their partnership with KSDK NewsChannel 5, “A Place to Call Home.” This feature, which airs five times a week, has helped the Coalition find forever families for more than 250 children. The agency has pioneered a program to find adoptive homes for teenagers and large sibling groups. Called Extreme Recruitment®, it has been featured in The New York Times and TIME Magazine and is being replicated by other agencies in the United States and Canada. The Coalition also provides a spectrum of support programs for foster/adoptive families, including support groups, training, educational supports, and 24/7 in-home services.
