PERFORM IN SAINT LOUIS BALLET'S
THE NUTCRACKER AT THE TOUHILL AND MORE!
Saint Louis Ballet School is the official school of Saint Louis Ballet Company, a professional company that presents productions for the St. Louis community such as The Nutcracker,The Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. All performances are held at the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the campus of UMSL.
Auditions are held annually at Saint Louis Ballet School for any production that includes children's roles and are posted on the Information Board at the School. Only children enrolled in the school may audition. Students chosen to be a part of a company production are required to attend all rehearsals and performances for the role(s) they are cast in.
It is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform alongside the city's professional ballet dancers, but it is also a big commitment, so students and parents must discuss the rehearsal and performance schedules prior to auditioning for the productions. Students gain unforgettable memories as well as stage experience, stage presence and a confidence in being a part of such a successful production in St. Louis. Over 12,000 people attended Saint Louis Ballet's productions of The Nutcracker last year making it the largest holiday production in St. Louis.
